Role: Document Controller
Location: Didcot, Oxfordshire
Linxon is seeking a highly experienced Document Controller to join our team for the Didcot project. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the document management systems required by the company, in cooperation with engineering teams and the field operation team.
What will you do?
Maintaining lists of documents, coding documents, and ensuring that reviews, numbering, distribution, filing, and registration are in compliance with procedures.
Ensuring contractors at the site operate with the latest and updated drawing revisions.
Properly storing and communicating red marks on "issued for construction" drawings to respective company functions (engineering and field operation team).
Supporting the field operation team by providing correct drawing information.
Applying company procedures related to document management information systems correctly. This includes verifying the format, receipt, registration, number, filing, recovery, and issue of documents. Preparing operating manuals and maintaining them in accordance with the index defined by the engineering teams. Organizing final documents and maintaining them in the internal/external archives.
Operating in coordination with project document controllers located in Linxon Global Engineering Center (Chennai, India) 6.
Requirements:
Experience in the power transmission/distribution sector, with direct involvement in construction projects.
Extensive experience in documentation control systems (PIRS / Aconex).
As part of a global company, extensive international experience and knowledge of various utilities, standards, and specifications 9.
Previous experience in a multicultural environment and a high degree of inter-cultural sensitivity to help lead and motivate the team by influence
