Ingénieur(e) Sénior en Instrumentation et Automatisation des procédés (Lead)

Overview

We are looking for an experienced engineer in process instrumentation and automation to join our multidisciplinary team. In this key role, you will act as the technical lead on large-scale projects, from defining requirements to commissioning. You will play a central role in developing robust and innovative solutions while providing technical guidance to project team members.

Your Role

As a senior engineer in this field, you will:

  • Act as a technical reference on automation projects, collaborating with internal teams and clients.
  • Participate in designing control architectures (DCS, PLC, SCADA) and selecting instrumentation equipment.
  • Supervise or perform programming, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality, and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior or intermediate engineers.
  • Participate in technical reviews and deliverable audits.
  • Maintain close client relationships and contribute to client satisfaction.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Automated Production.
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in industrial, agri-food, or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Proficiency with automation platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Experion PKS, DeltaV, etc.).
  • Knowledge of ISA standards, machine safety, and regulated environments.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Bilingual (French/English).

Assets:

  • Experience in project management or technical coordination.
  • Knowledge of MES systems or traceability solutions.
  • Experience with projects requiring validation constraints (GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11).

Additional Information

  • For this position, we will prioritize local candidates from the Greater Montreal area.
  • Required to work onsite at the office 2 days per week or on-site as per assignment.
