The Senior Civil Engineer / Senior Planner / Senior Project Manager / Program Management Specialist is a key role on a program management contract with a national leading utility. This position is based out of Alexandria, VA with projects and prospects in region that will help develop an exciting career.

How will you contribute to the team?
- Preparing program management summaries for senior executives with our program management clients
- Developing best practice reporting and monitoring capabilities through development of standardized reports and dashboards focused on project delivery and program management
- Leveraging experience in capital infrastructure planning and programming including development of annual budgets, 10-20-year capital improvement programs, funding requests, and other financial activities
- Willingness to serve in leadership and support roles on large programs across Water, Buildings & Places, Cities, Aviation, Transit, and other markets
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting program management best practices or centers of excellence within a private engineering, federal, state, or municipal organization
- Willingness to travel once to twice monthly for business development and project delivery purposes
- Organizing engineering assessments, investigations and planning work.
- Performing data acquisition and analysis, researching the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations.
- Preparing reports and presentations.
- Providing guidance as an experienced professional to junior staff.
- Supervising & preparing construction cost estimates and schedules for projects.
- Evaluates project scope change orders and negotiating settlement.
- Performs or assists with project constructability and value engineering reviews.
What will you contribute?
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical degree.
- Typical incumbent has ten to fourteen years of experience.

Expected compensation range is between $101,900 - $160,000 annually OR $50.00 - $76.93 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
Upon acceptance of an offer, all candidates must go through a drug screen test and background check. AtkinsRéalis is a federal contractor which mandates a satisfactory background screening report and drug test that supersedes state laws.
