We are currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Data Specialist to join the Geotechnical Practice, providing technical and operational leadership as we expand our geotechnical data management and analysis efforts. Our geotechnical professionals work closely with other AtkinsRéalis professionals multiple sectors such as transportation, rail & transit, energy, cities and developments as well as industrial. You will participate on multi-disciplinary teams and projects and will be expected to collaborate on multidisciplinary projects of all scales. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy and reliability of data-driven decisions, contributing to the success of infrastructure and development initiatives.

Your role within the team:

• Developing and maintaining geotechnical databases for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Performing geotechnical analysis, modeling, and visualization to support engineering designs.
• Utilizing advanced software tools (GeoStudio, Plaxis, gINT, etc.) and programming languages (Python, SQL) for data processing.
• Collaborating closely with engineers, geologists, and project teams to integrate geotechnical insights.
• Providing technical guidance on geotechnical data management, interpretation, and reporting.
• Keeping up with industry trends and innovations in geotechnical data science.

The ideal candidate:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in geotechnical data analysis and management.
• Proven proficiency in database management and programming languages.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software will be considered a strong asset.
• Strong technical expertise and analytical skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Strong data management and database development skills using SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Excellent communication skills and data visualisation skills.
