We are seeking a Senior Planner to join our Minerals & Metals Department. The successful candidate will report to the Planning & Scheduling Department. The person in this position will work closely with all disciplines and project Manager to manage all planning & Scheduling issue.
This role will be based in Toronto, Ontario.
Your role within the team:
- Develop schedules in Primavera for all stages of the project and Support Planning and Scheduling activities.
- Prepare project schedule, Load Resource/Budget Schedule, set up Baseline Schedule, Update Schedule, Issue schedule for internal and external use, Report critical schedule issues.
- Ensure proper progress measurement is in place through the whole project cycle and advise on the areas of concern that could prevent meeting the project objectives.
- Provide support on development of project cost expenditure forecast curves.
- Monitor and control the progress of the work against the Schedule
- Prepare and update Resource requirements reports.
- Perform schedule risk Analysis.

The ideal candidate:
- Post-secondary education or a bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred).
- Proven expertise in planning Engineering and Construction projects across large, complex, and multi-disciplinary environments, with a strong grasp of project management principles.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar planning role.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Previous experience in mining and metallurgy projects is preferred.
