Superintendent (Architecture)
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee architectural construction projects, ensuring design integrity and quality control
- Site based – Coordinate with Consultants e.g. architects, engineers, and Contractors to ensure project specifications and timelines are met
- Manage daily site operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and compliance with safety regulations
- Participate in Constructability Review & Risk Management
- Manage change processes
- Ensure audit trial for all processes, submissions, review and approvals
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and resolve any issues that arise
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to design & construction
- Interpret technical designs, provide technical advice, and assist in resolving construction issues
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements related to architectural works
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports and updates for stakeholders
- Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including clients and regulatory agencies
- Mentor and develop junior staff members, promoting a culture of safety and excellence
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture recognised by the Board of Architects Singapore, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural project management and site supervision
- Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, construction methods, and building codes
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication, leadership, , process management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in architectural software and construction management tools
- Korean language proficiency would be an added advantage
- A team player with a positive working attitude and the ability to handle tight deadlines
- Accredited / Chartered Project Manager or Construction Manager from the likes of PMP, RICS would be an added advantage
- Any LEED or Green Mark experience
