As part of our regional growth plans, we are currently looking for an Architect to join the Concept design team in Dubai, UAE.
Responsibilities
Developed architectural design skills and understanding of the design process and interfaces between design disciplines.
Extensive project experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Flexibility of attitude towards company objectives.
Understanding of scope definition and scope interface.
Excellent presentation skills.
Full knowledge of Statutory Authorities requirements, knowledge of codes, regulations and submission requirements.
Developed knowledge of Fire & Life Safety Principles.
Developed knowledge of Sustainable Design principles.
Ability and will to mentor and provide support to junior staff members and spread knowledge across the wider architectural community.
Ability and will to update knowledge.
Develop a thorough design philosophy, effectively contributing to the inception and the development of a project.
Lead the design work ensuring project objectives are met, design instructions are implemented and delivery is achieved within the set time and budget.
Responsible for the correctness, accuracy and complete multi-disciplinary coordination of the design documentation prepared by the assigned team.
Responsible, for the preparation and compilation of design presentations and design reports.
Core Accountabilities:
Architectural Design and planning.
Client Interface.
Design Coordination.
Interface with Statutory Authorities.
Design research.
Site back-up.
Requirements
B.Arch or B.Sc in Architecture.
Minimum 5+ years post qualification experience (UAE/ KSA experience preferred)
Be a registered member of an accredited RIBA or ARB
High proficiency in: Rhino, Grasshopper, Sketchup, 3dsmax, Revit, Auto Cad, Photoshop, Indesign
Graphic skills are a must (Adobe package)
Qualities & Skills
Talent and experienced in working on the design process during the concept/ Schematic designs stages
Experience of working in a recognised global/ design offices in Middle East
Capable of leading large scale projects in Hospitality, Mixed use, Residential, commercial and High rise.
Excellent design and technical capabilities
Proficiency in Rhino + Grasshopper
Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT, word processing and Adobe InDesign/ illustrator/ photoshop.
Self motivated and able to take responsibility
Flexible attitude and works well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
Excellent organisational skills
Able to build good relationships at all levels internally and externally
Resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritise duties and work effectively under pressure while remaining calm and professional at all times.
Ability to understand and formulate design decisions and present for discussion
Ability to use a variety of media in the development and documentation of a design project
