BIM Coordinator

Our interpretation of BIM / IM is perhaps wider than others. The Role:

We are seeking a proactive mid-level BIM Coordinator with industrial experience to join our team. Our BIM Coordinators are a critical role within our delivery team. They engage and support our engineering teams from definition of BIM standards and processes through to training and implementation at a project level.

The role involves not only a BIM Coordinator role in multi-disciplinary projects but also playing a crucial part in optimising and managing our CAD management systems, developing new ways of working, incorporating the latest in technology, and training and communication.

Your Purpose:

Responsibilities:

• Support in collaboration across the business to ensure that our information management practices are understood and implemented company wide.
• Through the application of IM, demonstrably support positive outcomes on projects.
• Create engaging and informative educational and training materials and collateral promoting BIM and IM.
• Capture lessons learned and informed continual improvement.
• Creation and maintenance of federated models throughout project stages, including the coordination, clash management and reporting on issues.
• Undertaking 3D model checks, ensuring the validity and integrity of models are aligned with project requirements.
• Coordinate project CAD teams towards excellent delivery, through regular interaction and engagement.
• Configuration and management of CAD systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives, this includes training and awareness to multi-discipline engineering teams.
• Ensure project teams (internal and external) are aware of and trained in the application of BIM Coordination procedures and processes being applied.
• Support the application, development and maintenance of business processes relating to BIM Coordination (including application of BS EN ISO 19650).

Experience:

• Several years of experience in the nuclear sector or other heavy industries, ideally in an organization similar to AtkinsRéalis.
• Good knowledge of the application and implementation BIM / Information Management and CAD in multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience in the configuration and implementation of CAD management systems, with specific experience in both Autodesk Vault and Autodesk Construction Cloud preferable.
