To provide strategic and technical support to the Regional President of AMEA to maximize their effectiveness. Serve as a trusted advisor and confidante, offering a sounding board for ideas. Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement strategy to cultivate and strengthen relationships and strategic partnerships. Collaborate with the senior leadership team and engage with all levels of the organization to drive success.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly strategic and dynamic Chief of Staff to support our Regional President overseeing operations in the AMEA region. This pivotal role involves executing strategic initiatives, managing key stakeholder relationships, and ensuring operational excellence across diverse regions. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to gain extensive exposure in various markets and pave the way for further leadership roles within the firm.

Please note extensive travel is expected as part of this role as and when required by the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic advisor to the Regional President, providing insights on regional market dynamics and business development strategies.
  • Coordinate and manage critical projects across multiple countries, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Facilitate communication between the Regional President’s office and other internal departments, as well as with key external stakeholders.
  • Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the executive to facilitate efficient decision-making.
  • Plan and manage meetings and events, including preparing agendas and ensuring follow-up on action items.
  • Manage diary and inbox, preparing presentations, setting agendas for meetings etc., and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of strategic initiatives, providing analytical support and proposing adjustments as needed.
  • Working closely, collaborating, and providing direction to the Regional President's Executive Assistant.
  • Represent the Regional President in meetings and forums as required.
  • Serve as an integrator connecting work streams internally and externally to build trusted, sustainable relationships and alliances.
  • Prepare briefing materials to support the President’s meetings, speeches, and presentations, liaising with Internal Communications and market leads as appropriate.
  • Facilitate and/or produce and analyse strategic data and KPI lead indicators to assist effective decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Attend meetings with the President and other formal/ informal events, recording feedback and actions, and driving actions where appropriate.
  • Respond to internal and external correspondence, working closely with senior managers or undertaking research as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with senior management to ensure good flow of information and effective workload management.
  • Foster a collaborative approach across all regions/ businesses.
  • Provide strategic counsel to the President to enhance daily company management, streamline decision-making processes, and shape the Senior Leadership Team's efforts in driving performance, operational excellence, and fostering a compelling organizational culture aligned with our new brand.
  • Generate insights and ideas for the President to further develop leadership profile within and outside the organization.

Person Profile:

  • Knowledge of AtkinsRéalis/ Engineering/ Professional services industry, Commercial and Competitive environment.
  • Able to absorb information rapidly, via both verbal and written communications.
  • Highly numerate, and able to interpret statistical data.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills; ability to build compelling storyboards to get messages across effectively.
  • Enthusiasm and passion; embracing change as a way of working with proven ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Strong client focus.
  • Proven ability to work in strict confidence.
  • Able to work independently, using own initiative to produce work at a superior standard with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and adaptable, agility in decision making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and skills will be considered.
  • Written communication skills including experience in developing correspondence, reports, submissions, briefing notes, and other communication materials in finished form.
  • Verbal communication skills including experience in understanding technical material and being able to communicate it to persons with various levels of understanding in several mediums including delivering presentations.
  • Interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to prioritize work and manage competing deadlines.
  • Experience and proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience handling highly sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner.
