Civil Engineering Intern - Fall 2025

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern – Fall 2025 to join our Melbourne, FL office. Our civil engineering interns gain experience in grading, site plans, roads, utilities, stormwater and modeling. They work on commercial, residential, medical, theme park, mixed use, aviation, federal (civilian and military) and municipal (city, county and state) projects.  These projects are local, state and federal projects that range in size from small, medium and large projects and could include planning, design-bid-build, and design-build projects.  They also work with other civil engineering groups in numerous offices across the US.  Come join AtkinsRéalis, where opportunities abound.

Our Internship Program, Explore, is designed for college students pursuing a degree in a STEM field and provides opportunities to learn what it’s like to work in a professional environment and apply what’s learned in class to the real-world challenges we face every day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gathers, logs and summarizes field notes or other data to be used by technicians or professionals in technical studies or projects.
• Establishes and maintains records or files of technical fata or documents.
• Performs mathematical calculations
• Performs various routine drafting and CAD assignments.
• Assists in the preparation of graphic displays and presentation materials.
• Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

• EXPERIENCE: No experience required
• EDUCATION: College junior or senior working towards completing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship.
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Must have basic AutoCAD skills
• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: Student ASCE chapter preferred.
