Location – Burnaby, BC

Your role within the team:

• Perform Substation Advanced Design 3-D modelling using Revit and Inventor software.
• Prepare drawings, including general layout drawings and civil / structural drawings, in accordance with established drafting standards, specified contractual requirements and in line with good engineering and drafting practices.
• Ensure drawings are checked, approved and filed in accordance with the relevant quality system procedure.
• Prepare drafting-related calculations.
• Other tasks as required to support project goals and business activities.

The ideal candidate:

• A recognized diploma in Civil Structural Engineering or a related engineering field.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Civil Structural Designer / Drafter.
• Experience in 3-D modelling and computer drafting of structural steel, concrete, buildings, architectural and plant site civil works.
• Power transmission and distribution, and renewable power industry experience.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Revit, Inventor, AutoCAD and Civil 3D are essential.
• Proficiency with Microstation is an asset.
• A strong technical capability and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Expected compensation for this role is between $59,600 - $82,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers
