We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the North, who will be responsible for delivering work that is driven by excellence as well as doing the right thing. You will share our reputation for working on some of the UK's most high-profile commissions. Your teams will work across a wide range of projects within the complex infrastructure sector, including rail, highways, utilities, defence, energy and aviation. As well as building long-term, sustainable relationships with our most important clients, you will also be a catalyst for your colleagues' career progression.

Your Role

• Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports across the lifecycle of your projects.
• Provide accurate monitoring, forecasting and reporting of project costs and programme performance ensuring value for money and cost efficiency for clients.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery. Direct and manage client focused teams and mentor colleagues to provide career growth opportunities. Administer a variety of contracts to ensure commercial control and compliance.
• Manage contract change collaboratively and effectively and as appropriate for the project needs. Provide sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders.
• Commission management as required.

About You

• Proven track record of leading projects for UK public sector clients.
• Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent recognised body (desirable).
• Extensive experience with NEC contracts and similar.
• Experience leading business development and, or account management activities for major construction clients.

Security clearance

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.  If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview.
