As a Consultant Project Manager in 'Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology' (ADS&T), you'll be part of our Programme Delivery Practice. In your role, you'll enable organisations to achieve maximum benefits from digital transformation and innovative operations. You'll work directly with clients, identifying, shaping and managing better delivery capabilities. You'll be supported to lead your own work packages or Agile delivery teams across our markets.

Your Role

You will be able to work independently or manage high performing and technical multi-disciplinary teams. You will deliver products or outputs to time, cost, and quality, often using agile delivery methodologies to meet our clients’ needs. You will be people centric, striving to create and grow partnership level relationships, ensuring our clients are at the centre of everything we do and creating a positive impact through true change. About you

• We have opportunities for people with solid project management experience or equivalent transferable skills from other careers.
• Demonstrate a variety of technical project deliveries within collaborative environments.
• Project management- The ability to manage all aspect of project delivery, including forecasting, change management and risk management. There will be a significant emphasis on financial acumen.
• Experience of working in a project delivery environment with a sound understanding of structured and agile methodologies (e.g. APMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, MSP, DSDM, Scrum).
• Client engagement- You will instil client confidence in AtkinsRéalis' project delivery through your professionalism and passion.
• Problem solving- The ability to identify problems collaboratively and develop actions/solutions with our clients, communicating both to key stakeholders and presenting information through reports, dashboards and slides as appropriate.
• Commercial awareness- Providing contract management, supplier management or commercial advice to clients.
• Experience and understanding of complex IT systems, hardware, software (bespoke and COTS) and managing delivery of IT projects in a Waterfall/Agile context is advantageous.
• Market experiences working within the UK Defence & Security sector is advantageous.
• Ability to be UK mobile, including travel to and work from AtkinsRéalis offices and client sites on a regular (weekly) basis.

Security clearance

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.  If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview.
