General Accounting Supervisor

The General Accounting Supervisor is part of the General Accounting Team of AtkinsRéalis Finance Shared Service Centre based in Bucharest, Romania and he/she will report to the General Accounting Manager.

While covering the General Accounting Supervisor role, you will be assisting with the implementation and maintenance of the accounting systems, procedures and policies, while training and coordinating the assigned General Accounting team. Moreover, you will be directly involved in planning and transitioning new accounting processes into the Finance Shared Service.

Responsibilities

• Establish work priorities, supervise and manage the General Accounting Team
• Ensure a timely, efficient and accurate processing of all bank transactions, as part of the bank reconciliation process
• Review and analyze general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of all tasks
• Perform ad hoc analysis and establish monthly priorities on reconciling items
• Ensure an efficient and functional backup structure
• Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
• Manage escalations/offer solutions
• Facilitate continuous improvement
• Measure KPI’s to assess team performance and report achievements/development plans
• Create strong relationships within the team / consolidate and promote teamwork
• Provide assistance to the General Accounting Manager as required 

Requirements

• Demonstrated high leadership potential, strong motivation and great teamwork spirit
• Accounting / finance educational / professional background
• Excellent communication skills and customer service oriented
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong deep analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Candidate based in Romania
• Proficiency in English & Romanian
