Ingénieur(e) civil(e) résident(e) - Centrale Isle-Maligne

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Resident Civil Engineer for its Hydropower and Dams Department to join a team dedicated to the construction of hydroelectric power plants.

Your Role

• Review and respond to technical questions;

• Act as a liaison between site requirements and the design engineering team;

• Participate in acceptance testing support;

• Identify impacts of temporary construction requirements such as loads on existing structures;

• Provide technical support;

• Track contractor questions (QRT);

• Track technical change requests (DMT);

• Support the construction team by ensuring the use of the latest revisions of plans, technical specifications, shop drawings, and any other documents required by the contract;

• Provide professional opinions on detected non-conformities related to design;

• Review final plans and/or as-built drawings showing all modifications made on site;

• Review design change notices and project change notices (AMP);

• Communicate the impact of changes to the client and the design engineering team.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;

• Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in hydroelectric and industrial sectors;

• Minimum of 2 years of experience on a medium or large-scale construction site;

• Knowledge of North American codes and standards such as CSA;

• Member or eligible for registration with the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);

• Functional knowledge of French and English* (an asset).

*This position requires knowledge of another language besides French, namely English, as you will be part of a Canadian, global, or regional management team and will need to collaborate with colleagues outside Quebec.
