We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator Energy, to join our team in our Oak Ridge, TN office.

How will you contribute to the team?  

• Responsible for assisting the Senior IT Systems Administrator with daily administration, general troubleshooting and performance monitoring of the organizations existing enterprise class information technology systems.

• Plays a key role in the management, configuration, and implementation of the organizations database applications, along with the ability to administer existing and new applications as identified by management.

• Installs, configures, maintains, monitors, updates, and administers Windows Server 2016/2019 systems, Active Directory, VMware hosts, and applications as assigned.

• Installs and maintains performance of SQL Database servers. Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors. 

• Provides support in creating and maintaining database standards and in developing process for optimizing database security.

• Installs, upgrades, and manages database applications.

• Develops, maintains, and integrates verification and validation (V&V) documentation throughout the planning lifecycle tracking and controlling compliance data and status from draft to baseline.

• Administers and maintains engineering applications such as Solid Work PDM and Autodesk Vault as assigned. 

• Administers and maintains the Hybrid Microsoft 365 Environment.

• Administers and maintains Multi-Factor Authentication Solutions as deployed within the enterprise.

• Administers and maintains industry standard Data Backup and Recovery Solutions.

• Interacts with the service desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting and provide technical support when needed. 

• Executes Change and Incident management.

• Provides off-hours support during maintenance windows and on-call support rotation if required.

• Provides team training related to Enterprise Systems and Technology as necessary.

• Maintains logs, created documentation and produce reports of activity as necessary.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

What will you contribute? 

• Requires BS in Information Technology (or related area) with a minimum of 4 years professional computing experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience managing Windows Server-Based Infrastructure.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing SQL Servers. preferred.

• Candidate should exhibit the passion and commitment to working with leading edge technology, working hard and having fun in a dynamic, ever-changing environment while maintaining cooperation, understanding, trust and credibility.

• Experience in Windows Server-Based Infrastructure.

• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.

• Experience in the administration and management of Microsoft SQL Servers and SQL databases preferred.

• Experience with Veeam Backup and Replication preferred.

• Windows Operating System hardening concepts, coordination with security groups and industry best practices.

• Experience with Engineering Applications and Administration to include SolidWorks PDM and Autodesk Vault preferred.

• Experience with Microsoft 365 Cloud Solutions and Administration preferred.

• Experience using PowerShell and Event Log Collection Tools preferred.

• Requires ability to qualify for a Department of Energy Q Level Security Clearance.

• Experience with Software Deployment and Imaging Applications.

• Good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle.

• Extensive experience in technical troubleshooting.

• Ability to produce diagrams and requisite documentation.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment.

• Ability to document system design activities and to configure systems to be consistent with institutional policies/procedures.

• Ability to communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively.

• Microsoft certifications, preferred.

• Vendor/Technology certifications, preferred.

• Experience and comfort working in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

• Experience with SolidWorks PDM administration preferred.

• Experience with Autodesk Vault administration preferred.

• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.

• Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered.
