Lead Mechanical Engineer

To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for the mechanical engineering & preparation of drawings and technical documentation required for the execution of Industrial projects from concept design, FEED design and detailed design.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analysis of regulatory requirement and safety design as per standards.
• Basis of Design / General Mechanical Drawings / Datasheets.
• Static & Rotating Equipment Arrangement / Calculations & Technical specifications.
• HVAC duct & piping, Plumbing & Utilities drawings.
• Review and Developing the Detailed Mechanical Engineering.
• Bill of Materials Take off.
• Coordination and management of equipment vendors.
• Technical clarification with vendor and/or sub -constructor.
• Review shop drawings and execute TBE of drawings sub-contractor.
• Ensuring design work interfaces well with that of other disciplines.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards and procedures.
• Coordinate, oversee and supervise the Site Construction Work and liaison with site main contractor.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Min 15 years’ experience in the mechanical engineering preferably in Industrial projects.
• Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate with Board of Engineers Malaysia.
• Experienced in EPCM work environment.
• Experienced in Management of Change (MOC) projects are an added advantage.
• Additional Knowledge of 3D Design Software is added value.
• Additional good knowledge of HVAC load calculation, energy modelling and efficiency optimization.
• Thorough Knowledge of Malaysia Code and local legislative regulations / International codes regulations.
