Project Controls Manager

We are hiring! AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Project Controls Manager to join our Raleigh, North Carolina office.

This position will provide support to the North Carolina Turnpike Authority (NCTA) and will work with AtkinsRéalis staff, as well as provide support to the client’s staff, on numerous types of transportation projects.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Provides subject matter expertise (SME) in toll system operations, implementation, and best practices, supporting public agencies and private clients across multiple jurisdictions.
• Supports Division Manager in identifying new business opportunities, formulating pursuit strategies, and preparing documentation for go/no-go procurement decisions.
• Leads and contributes to the development of key project documents.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the client, subconsultants, and program administrators and leadership.
• Monitors compliance with contract terms and subcontractors' compliance with contractual commitments.
• Tracks work orders to ensure appropriate charging of hours, costs, and expenses to projects, and communicates project progress/status to Supervisor and program administrators.
• Establishes and maintains project accounting files and reviews project reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Manages client billings and payments from clients, resolves client disputes, and adjusts project billing records as required.
• Monitors, reviews, and approves subconsultant and vendor invoices, and resolves payment and project disputes.
• Develops and reviews internal and external presentations.
• Provides financial and operational oversight, including budget development, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and audit coordination.
• Engage in strategic planning, client engagement, and event coordination.
• Provides assistance and support to Supervisor and program administrators as needed.
• Performs additional duties as assigned to support project success and organizational goals.

What will you contribute?

• Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum seven years’ experience in financial and administrative work with at least five years in a supervisory capacity with budget responsibility.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required to interact effectively with internal managers, subconsultants, program administrators, and client.
• Must have good analytical ability and technical skills.
• Familiarity with the use of Microsoft Outlook or equivalent e-mail program, as well as the use of Internet and other information processing and storage techniques.
