AtkinsRéalis has an exciting opportunity for a Project Director to join our expanding Project Delivery Practice business, support the delivery of our growth plan in the Defence Market and oversee the projects we deliver to our defence clients across the UK. Your role will be to lead the project delivery services to our defence clients, support the growth of our team delivering defence projects and ensure high levels of client satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality project delivery and commercial management services. Owing to the sensitive nature of the works involved in these specialist defence projects, candidates will be required to hold, or be able to hold, valid security clearance (SC) and to do so will need to be:

Your purpose:

• AAT or ACCA required or working towards.
• A strong track record of client billing, including complex projects and thorough understanding of Oracle.
• Intermediate / Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and Comfortable with other Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work collaboratively and independently thus building strong relationships with Project Managers and Finance colleagues.
• Skilled at prioritizing workload to ensure key deadlines are met.
• Organized, flexible and Effective communicator.

What you can bring:

• Initially to assist the finance transformation team to one ERP which will include centralizing ADS&T billing within the UK from JD Edwards to Oracle.
• Prepare sales invoices, applications for payment and credit notes and associated supporting documentation. Obtain approval for sales invoices and credit notes.
• Liaise with Project Managers to ensure that all invoicing is completed within required timescales.
• Support correct allocation of costs to projects, including staff allocations, time transfers. Prepare and distribute job-related information and reports.
• Support project managers with timesheet-related queries and amend where necessary. Liaise with divisional Finance staff.
• Update Ready Reckoners and Earned Fee Ready Reckoners monthly. Field queries from internal and external auditors. Liaise with the client purchasing/finance/JO partner with queries.
•  Running weekly project-based scheduled reports and issuing to the project managers on time. Liaising with Financial controller to ensure that all month end tasks are completed on a timely basis Preparing Journal entries e.g. Expenses/revenue transfers or any correction entries. Ensuring daily Internal Audit is conducted for all the processes within the business.
• Daily work allocation and ensuring all the activities are completed before the cut off. Preparation of monthly billing.
