We are seeking a Junior Protection & Control in our Burnaby, BC location. The Protection, Control & Automation EIT will report to the Engineering Manager, who will provide supervision for the protection, control & automation design work.

Your role within the team:

• Preparation of Protection, Control & Automation designs from conceptual to implementation stage for Transmission, Distribution and Generating stations.
• Preparation of Protection & Control single line diagrams, DC/AC control schematics.
• Preparation of Automation architecture and designs.
• Design and development of panel layouts and bill of materials.
• Design and development detailed wiring diagrams.
• Development of cable block diagrams and cable and conduit schedules.
• Programming of Protection, Control and Automation devices.
• Work on reports and calculations.
• Perform site visits.
• Perform design work in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver projects.

The ideal candidate:

• Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Has taken courses in Protection & Control at a University level or equivalent.
• 0-1 year of related experience in Protection & Control or equivalent
• Is registered as an EIT with EGBC or is eligible for registration.
• Demonstrated excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Must be willing to learn new technologies and programming of devices.

Expected compensation for this role is (between Pay Range $56,600 - $77.800 annually) (Only Applicable to British Columbia). Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
