The duty of the QA/QC Engineer is to act and operatively support the Project Manager as expert and partner by planning, supervision, ensuring and reporting of appropriate activities with regards to failure prevention, effective proceedings (pro-active & re-active) and continuous improvements over the entire Linxon Business Process. Particular importance is the authority to intervene at any stage in the project, if proceedings impact targeted results negatively.
The Position holder will maintain and strengthen Linxon's quality culture in project execution to project on time, on budget and on quality. The specialist will manage all quality related deliverables of the project internally and external to the Client and Supply chain including documentation processes providing confidence that quality requirements will be fulfilled (QA) are fulfilled (QC).
What will you do?
- Review project contract regarding quality requirements and ensure that they are understood and adhered to in project team.
- Developing and implementing Project Quality Plan in line with project contractual requirements and maintaining it throughout the project life cycle.
- Work with SCM to ensure that specific QA requirements, contractually agreed in the individual
- projects, are understood and adhered to by Suppliers and Sub-suppliers, including performing Supplier Audits.
- Coordinate/supervise testing activities on products procured, before delivery to site in accordance with Project Quality Plan. This includes Customer involvement where contractually agreed.
- Conduct Project and Site Quality Audits and where necessary follow-up and close audit findings.
- Support the project in managing Nonconformities/Incidents including containment and resolution for the project. Support PM to initiate RCA process where required.
- Provide coaching to project delivery team in all aspects of Quality Assurance & Operational
- Suggest improvements to the quality management system as appropriate. Trains the project team on relevant QMS improvements.
- Monitor customer feedback on issues regarding quality of deliverables and performance.
- Support the project in customer complaints and the reporting through Non-Conformance for the timely resolution.
- Provide summary of lessons learned feedback to Quality Head to support further Process
Experience and Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Civil engineering discipline/ Diploma in any engineering/related discipline.
- Membership of SCE (Saudi Council of Engineers).
- At least 5 to 7 years of work experience/exposure in Quality management (ISO 9001) background with good knowledge of Power Substations, Renewables projects of different size, complexity, and contractual types
- Experience in Electrical Transmission projects, including Civil Construction is desirable.
- Proven track record of management of large-scale, multimillion-pound projects.
- Ability to take initiative and apply both creativity and perseverance whilst remaining compliant with of Linxon’s Code of Conduct.
- Computer literate and well conversant with project scheduling
- Language: Fluent in English (speak and write); local language is a benefit
- Knowledge of Electrical substations concept.
