Overview

Resident Engineer – Civil to oversee the construction and supervision of high-voltage cable and overhead transmission line (OHTL) projects in the Middle East. This role is pivotal in ensuring project execution aligns with ADNOC and TRANSCO standards, regulatory compliance, and strategic business outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and a proven track record in managing complex infrastructure projects.

Your role

  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing and supervising construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering, technology, building, construction, and design specifications of ADNOC and TRANSCO.
  • Co-ordination and knowledge of Permits/NOCs involved in execution of Site activities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, GIS, AutoCAD and other software
  • Ability to manage multiple construction projects at various stages of their lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and regulations.
  • Competent in assessing, interpreting and presenting survey reports and other critical data for stakeholders and shareholders.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of the UAE Building Code, safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and management skills.
  • Active role in Site inspections for civil construction material and review of Shop drawings
  • Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Suggest process and technical design changes to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Monitor project progress, compliance with design specifications.
  • Monitor work schedules and recommend mitigation measures as needed to meet project deadlines.
  • Supervise and monitor detailed documentation of all site construction activities.
  • Collaborate with management to align activities with desired business outcomes.
  • Proven track record for managing personnel and material resources.
  • Exemplary critical thinking, analytical, and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Active listening and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Dedication to implement new concepts and strategies.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering, construction or industrial buildings.
  • Minimum 12-15 years of Construction experience in 132kV, 400kV substations and HV/EHV cable laying projects.
  • Experienced in ADNOC and TRANSCO projects.
  • Experienced as construction supervision Consultant.
