Senior Inspector – Transportation Infrastructure

Your role within the team 

As a member of the Toronto office's Contract Administration team, you will: 

• Conduct daily inspection and oversight of complex bridge, highway, roadway, railway, watermain, sewer construction projects.  

• Monitor contractor work for compliance with contract specifications and applicable safety and environmental legislation.  

• Maintain Daily project records / diary entries and track quantities for Quality Assurance/Quality Control for sampling frequency 

• Assist Contract Administrator with various administrative duties  and the review of contractor submissions for compliance with contractual obligations.  

• Attend site meetings, take meeting notes and assist in the preparation of site meeting minute reports.  

• Mentor junior team members on the various facets of site inspection.

The ideal candidate: 

• Holds a College Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent. 

• Is Registered with either P.E.O or OACETT as a C.E.T., C. Tech with RCSI or RCCA designation or EIT. 

• Has at least 5 years' relevant experience including working on MTO roadway and highway projects or on municipal greenfield or rehabilitation projects. 

• Is proficient in English (spoken and written). 

• Has a valid Ontario driver’s license class G with a good driving record, and access to a vehicle.
