Senior Planner

Overview

AtkinsRéalis one of the world’s leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland.

You will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project programmes using planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project. You will prepare cost and resource loaded programmes for forecasting and monitoring, and provide progress reports and dashboards to project teams. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks and constraints, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.

Your role

• Develop, monitor, and update project programmes using appropriate planning software such as Primavera P6 & MS Project.
• Preparation of cost and resource loaded programmes which can be used for forecasting and monitoring purposes.
• Familiarity with the NEC suite of contracts and its requirements in relation to programming.
• Provide progress reports with forecasts and dashboards to management and project teams.
• Identify risks and constraints to programmes and liaise directly with team members and stakeholders to mitigate any delays.
• Rail experience is preferred but not essential.

About you

• Relevant degree (Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline) or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Experience in preparing and managing cost and resource loaded programmes.
• Understanding of NEC contracts and their programming requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in infrastructure or rail projects is advantageous.
