We are seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist Energy to join our team in Richland, WA.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Responsible for overall project controls reporting, leadership and implementation on large construction and/or nuclear projects. 

  • Includes project controls procedures and protocols development; software and system selection and implementation; and enabling project prioritization, selection, approvals and construction.

  • Enables major project implementation through tailored project controls implementation.

  • Implements project controls processes, protocols, software, tools, and reporting requirements.

  • Develops project controls procedures and desk top instructions as required, including monthly reporting processes and cadence of monthly close activities.

  • Investigates, sources and procures project controls software and hardware as required.

  • On a monthly basis ensures overall data integration between financial, P6 schedule and Cobra cost processor.

  • Establishes monthly reporting requirements and presentation routines.

  • Supports major project sanctioning and approval processes.

  • Ensures project controls protocols are right-sized and tailored to project and/or client requirements.

  • Recommends and/or implements project controls training for client staff as required.

  • Coordinates and prepares monthly reporting for senior and executive level management.

  • Supervises project controls and other personnel as required.

  • Advises senior management staff on project execution and strategic matters as requested.

  • Interfaces with the Project Director, Procurement Manager, Manufacturing Manager, NSSS Vendor, Design Builder, Construction Manager, and Site Engineering Manager as required.

  • Supports and develops strategic planning for the project and/or client.

  • Interfaces regularly with client staff at client project location.

  • May supervise project controls and other personnel.

  • Performs financial analysis, estimating and scheduling tasks as required.

  • Performs other duties as required.

What will you contribute?

  • Bachelor's degree required or without a degree, 20 years' equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 15 years Project Controls experience.

  • Minimum 5 years construction experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years previous management experience.

  • Requires working experience with Primavera P6.

  • Requires intermediate Excel experience - advanced Excel skills preferred.

  • Experience with At Risk, In-Eight, and COBRA preferred.

  • The position requires significant construction and/or nuclear project field experience in order to tailor and right-size project controls implementation to client and project-specific requirements. 

  • Effective interpersonal skills.

  • Project controls management skills, including forecasting, scheduling and reporting.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Capable of positive representation of the company to the customer.

  • Intermediate computer skills.

  • PMP preferred.

  • DOE experience preferred.

  • Nuclear experience preferred.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered.

Expected compensation range is between $121,000 - $203,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
