We are seeking a Digital Communications/Social Media Coordinator to join our Public Outreach team. This position will be based in the client office in Celebration, Florida, 5 days a week.

How will you contribute to the team?

This position will provide support to the client’s program communication team by assisting with the management and maintenance of all social media assets for the team. This position will develop content for the client social media platforms, monitor all accounts daily, and provide insight and ideas to help increase client social media followers, increase engagement on all platforms, and further define the agency’s social media presence and brand.

• Manage and oversee social media content.

• Post and monitor all social media content to client pages for interaction and engagement.

• Create monthly posting calendars for each platform that includes fresh and engaging content.

• Create social media strategy that helps cultivate the client’s online brand and identity.

• Maintain awareness of any social media activity and repost partner accounts, FDOT notifications, etc., as instructed.

• Post any emergency notifications and traffic information as requested.

• Measure account traffic, identify trends and areas of interest.

• Create monthly social media analytics report.

• Provide ongoing insight on how to improve client’s social media presence.

• Assist with the posting of Communications and Transportation Development items on the program website.

• Provide day-to-day operational support to the program’s communication team.

• Provide proofreading support in accordance with Department guidelines.

• Able to work occasional after-hours assignments for special events.

• Provide event support.

• Support the accomplishment of overall team goals.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you contribute?

• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, public relations, marketing, or related major OR an Associate's degree with at least two years of related experience.

• Experienced in social media posting, content creation and graphic design.

• Knowledge of public relations and public involvement techniques and strategies; knowledge of media relations strategies

• Experience with preparing print-ready files.

• Skilled in proofreading, editing, and preparing documents for publishing and distribution.
