We are looking for a Telecommunications Technician to join our team.

Your Role

  • Design and prepare plans in Revit, CAD, and BIM.

  • Write specifications and studies.

  • Research and propose technical solutions according to current standards.

  • Participate in preparing the specifications document and analyzing bids.

  • Provide technical support upon request during the execution of work.

  • Verify compliance of shop drawings.

  • Modify plans following approved change requests.

  • Participate, when invited, in validating the deficiency list for work acceptance.

  • Prepare and perform tests.

  • Take measurements using measuring devices.

  • Write reports.

  • Organize and participate in technical meetings, representing your discipline on projects.

  • Work on large-scale multidisciplinary projects.

  • Prepare design plans for various types of telecommunication systems and structured cabling (radio communication, telephony, sound systems, access control, data transmission, fiber optics, etc.).

  • Conduct field inspections and surveys.

  • Participate in equipment commissioning.

  • Provide technical assistance during implementation: technical questions (RFI), approval of shop drawings and technical sheets, engineering directives, site instructions, etc.

About You

  • Hold a vocational diploma (DEP) or college diploma (DEC) in telecommunications or related fields.

  • Have 5 years of experience in designing telecommunication systems.

  • Knowledge of TIA and BICSI telecommunications standards.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).

  • Possess ASP Construction card (an asset).

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software.

  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, client orientation, time and priority management, analytical ability, sense of responsibility, communication skills.

  • Experience in an engineering consulting firm (an asset).
