Winter Student - Procurement

Overview

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Coop student is responsible for Buying and expediting, as well as administrative support duties in all systems, TRAK, CMMS, Microsoft Office.  They will provide support to the Procurement Manager on various departmental objectives.

Your role

• Create and Issue standard/ non-complex Procurement packages.
• Create and Issue Change Orders.
• Interface with Key PO stakeholders including Engineering, Project Manager, QA, Document Control, etc.
• Expedite purchase orders to invoice payment, completion, and closeout.
• Perform various administrative duties data entry, invoice support, distribution, etc.
• Run data queries and perform data analysis using spreadsheets.
• Support in software development and beta testing.
• Perform various tasks in support of department objectives on behalf of the Procurement Manager.
• Support to the Risk department on various tasks.

About you

• Undergraduate or Post graduate degree program.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills. Must possess a high level of tact, initiative and diplomacy.
• Demonstrated ability to use initiative and apply mature judgment in an environment of changing and conflicting priorities.
• Capable of working and responding to queries without guidance/ direction in the absence of Management.
• Ability to learn inhouse Company software or previous experience an asset.
• Must be a team player.
• Hybrid work environment with 3 mandatory in office days.
