Explore our Net Zero world

working together today for a net zero tomorrow

Partnering with clients and the planet to help deliver sustainable infrastructure.

The UN Paris Agreement sets out a global commitment for the world to be Carbon Net Zero by 2100 to avoid the impact of catastrophic climate change. Many nations have additionally committed to voluntary pledges of reduction by 2050 or earlier.

Part of our mission is to help lead the industry in achieving Net Zero as rapidly as possible. Our global cross-sector experience and broad heritage of engineering excellence puts us in a unique position to address the challenges and identify the opportunities in pursuit of Net Zero. We will strive to push the boundaries of innovation to enable our clients to develop solutions for positive change, and we are passionate about the difference we can make to the world around us.

Opportunities to thrive in your career

We’re currently recruiting for a wide range of inspiring roles across our business. Our Engineering Net Zero Programme (ENZ) team is recruiting for key roles including Technical Carbon Subject Matter Expert and Innovation Lead for Carbon and Climate Futures, where you’ll get to work collaboratively on high-profile projects with reach and high visibility across the global organisation, whilst our Environment practice is recruiting from Technical Director to Consultant level to provide carbon expertise and deliver across the portfolio of net zero services we offer to our clients. And these are just some of the opportunities across the business to work on a wide variety of projects for a range of clients in the water industry, highways, rail and aviation sectors, as well as local authorities and regulators.

Net Zero carbon by 2050 is a global deadline we cannot afford to miss

It’s time to work in partnership with our planet. For us, this starts with our commitment to carbon neutrality in 2021. To meet this target, we must draw on our collective strength: both the innovations and experience of our leading experts, and the ideas of our staff in the earlier stages of their careers.

Could you be a future thinker and leader to help make an impact on the world around us? We're looking for the next generation of thought leadership where Net Zero is at the forefront of our projects, clients and business needs. How could you make a difference?

Our natural capital is a finite resource and our remaining carbon allowance is narrowing. It’s time to rebalance. To stop taking, and to start investing more in our planet. To match our ambitions with action. To accelerate beyond expectations.

Our Net Zero ambitions are not without challenge or risk, but it’s up to us to face them head-on. To find the opportunities. To build the future, and safeguard it for generations to come, with sustainable, innovative and resilient projects and processes, and with collective action.
