Overview
The Practice Manager will be responsible and accountable for the delivery performance of the PPS team, and the overall business operations KPIs. The Practice Manager will be expected to work collaboratively with other key stakeholders to drive growth, support the development of our people, improve operational performance (productivity, talent attraction, retention and growth) and ensure technical delivery excellence across the whole of the team.
Your role
- This is a key leadership role covering the following areas:
- The Practice Manager is responsible for leading the practice, day to day, providing pastoral care to staff, guidance and support to the team on career development, collaborating with other GTCs for resource management on new opportunities and current projects, recruitment, and leveraging growth through staff development and recruitment.
- Work winning and delivery – working with other GTCs and various global regions (internal clients) to develop specific growth plan.
- Technical leadership - ensuring that our ongoing services from Cairo office to various regions meet the quality standards and achieve excellence through digital innovation.
- Ensuring we have sufficient resources with the right skills to deliver our current and future projects.
- Leading the project team – building, motivating, maintaining, coaching, guiding and developing the team towards solving problems and making decisions.
- Facilitating communication, co-ordination, and information flow with the regions and within the project team.
- Customer focus with excellent relationship management skills.
- Cognisant delivery of projects and tasks in accordance with the AtkinsRéalis Values; Safety, Integrity, Collaboration, Innovation and Excellence.
- Must have knowledge in bid proposals and management.
- Should be flexible and open to new ideas and ways of delivering the building places projects in a digital way. Should be proactive to implement digital tools/systems in projects for a more effective way to deliver projects.

- Takes a leadership role and trusted to make decisions, typically at group / team level or within a specific area of the business.
- Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.
- Welcomes those with different or distinct perspectives, seeking to engage and harness disparate views at all levels of the organization.

About you
- Project Management Professional with 15-20 years of experience with an Architecture/Engineering background (preferably Civil Engineering), or equivalent with demonstrable experience managing the design and/or construction with experience on large infrastructure projects with recognized level of competence in Project Management with an accreditation such as PMP, MRICS or equivalent.
- French & English speaking bilingual capability will be an added advantage.
- Experience of managing design projects to time, cost, and quality objectives and familiar with planning and earned value techniques.
- Customer focused with excellent client relationship management skills, including the ability to understand client requirements and bring together different AtkinsRéalis capabilities to develop a solution. Strong understanding of principles of assurance and compliance as defined and applied within the relevant industry environment.
- Identifies new opportunities and growth propositions and brings value into the business by seeing these through to new work for themselves and others.
- Competent and confident to define the best way forward in a dynamic working environment. Self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a larger multi-discipline team.
- A hard working and flexible individual, who is a team player, possesses great attention to detail, is reliable, proactive and shows initiative whilst able to keep cool under pressure and when working to often demanding deadlines.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team and demonstrate good leadership qualities, including delegation without ambiguity. A supportive and encouraging approach to mentoring less experienced members of the team.
- Ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with internal clients. Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills both verbal and written. Collaborative approach to delivery of projects and stakeholder management. Be available to travel across the ME, India and other places when required.
