Overview

Your role
- Conduct structural analysis, seismic assessments, structural design, and ageing management activities.
- Prepare engineering design calculations for steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry structures following CSA standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop engineering documentation, including technical specifications and design packages (conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design).
- Use structural analysis software to evaluate systems and elements as needed.
- Support engineers by preparing design documents, ensuring quality, consistency, accuracy, and compliance with QA procedures.
- Complete technical deliverables on time and within budget, including walk-downs and field inspections when required.

About you
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree an asset) and eligibility for Professional Engineer-in-Training registration in Canada.
- 2–5 years of structural analysis and design experience with steel and concrete structures; experience in heavy industries is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of NBCC, CSA, and relevant industry codes, plus proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., ANSYS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE).
- Understanding of civil/structural engineering principles; experience with nuclear plant modification processes and MathCAD is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and capability to work effectively under tight schedules and budgets.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
