Overview
We have a great opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Environmental Consultant to join our team in the Newcastle, Stockton or Leeds office.
We are looking for someone to join our successful Sustainable Land and Resource Management (SL&RM) team in delivering a growing portfolio of projects. You will work closely with our technical specialists who are based in our established teams across the UK. We have a friendly and approachable team with a strong reputation for delivering excellence with multiple clients.
Your role
- Organising, supervising and checking site works (including contractors) and the preparation and management of appropriate H&S requirements.
- NEC4 Site Supervision.
- Digital and technical input to projects supporting the delivery of contaminated land projects, including site investigation design and interpretation, development of robust conceptual site models.
- Work with our contaminated land technical leads and other technical disciplines in winning, delivering and managing our portfolio of geoenvironmental projects and developing trusted client relationships.
- Laison with client, stakeholders, regulators, sub-contractors and other internal disciplines.
- Work collaboratively with other technical disciplines in the SL&RM team and beyond, delivering a range of projects relating to groundwater and contaminated land.
- Maintain excellent professional relationships which will lead to and secure repeat business.
- Developing own competence and maintain CPD necessary to fulfil the responsibilities of the role, with support from the business on own training and development needs.

About you
- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering or science subject (e.g. geology, hydrogeology, chemistry, environmental science).
- MSc in a science subject or related subject is preferable.
- Actively working towards chartership Chartered Membership of relevant professional body.
- Relevant years of post-graduate experience.
- Experienced in designing and managing ground investigations, managing health and safety requirements as well as technical report writing.
- Experience of the NEC4 Site Supervisor role.
- Full UK driving licence.
