As a Graduate environmental engineer, you'll enjoy variety, working on large and small projects with the opportunity to explore different career pathways, including consulting and design. As a graduate, you'll have plenty of opportunities to be involved in a variety of projects, ranging from energy and renewables, water, nuclear, property, rail, highways, international projects, planning and stakeholder engagement.

Your role

  • Supporting with the coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and other non-statutory environmental appraisals.
  • Supporting with coordinating a multi-disciplinary team of environmental specialists inputting to environmental assessments and environmental design inputs.
  • Collecting and analysing data including conducting field surveys where required.
  • Carrying out desk-based baseline constraints studies and appraisals.
  • Writing factual reports and sharing findings with multi-disciplinary colleagues, clients, sub-contractors and/or regulators or other stakeholders.
  • Supporting Senior environmental engineers / consultants, as required, in the delivery of robust planning documentation, to required best practice standards, in accordance with an agreed scope of work, and to the agreed delivery programme.
  • Working with colleagues, clients, environmental specialists and engineering teams to help promote sustainable design solutions and environmental enhancement.

About you

  • Minimum Level 8 degree in Earth Science, Environmental Assessment & Management, Environmental Geoscience, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Geography or Sustainability.
  • A passion for working in a consultancy environment.
  • Championing a culture where everyone belongs.
  • A desire to work collaboratively with a curious approach, challenging yourself to find new solutions.
  • Enthusiasm and drive to develop your skillset and seek out development opportunities within a supportive team.
  • Motivation to achieve professional accreditation as your career progresses (where applicable).
  • Comfortably embrace agile ways of working and learning new technologies.
  • Commitment to spend a minimum of three days a week in the office or on client site (project dependent). Being together in person helps us build stronger relationships, collaborate more effectively, and accelerate your learning and development.
