The Climate Resilience, Sustainability, Air and Acoustics team is looking for a Senior Air Quality Project Manager to work on projects related to Air Quality. We offer comprehensive environmental services that improve the quality of our natural and built environment. Acoustics and vibrations, air quality, climate change, and environmental assessment are just a few of the areas our environmental engineers and scientists cover for our clients across a wide range of sectors, including infrastructure and transportation, industrial, energy, mining, oil, and gas sectors. The Environment Engineering Specialist will report to the Air Quality team lead.
This role will be based in Calgary, Edmonton, or Vancouver. Occasional travel within Canada may be required.
Your role
Under the supervision of the Air Quality Team Leader, the Project Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Support environmental impact assessments, permitting studies and other client requests
- Identification and assessment of air quality impacts.
- Atmospheric dispersion modelling.
- Contaminant emissions inventories.
- GHG emissions and mitigation.
- Development of dust management plans.
- Odor assessment.
- Development and implementation of ambient air quality monitoring programs.
- Indoor air quality sampling programs and recommendations.
- Report writing.
- Lead and support business development activities, including client relationship management, opportunity identification, and proposal development.

About you
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or another relevant engineering degree.
- PMP or CAPM certification.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in air quality, and must include:
- Experience with atmospheric contaminant and GHG emissions calculations.
- Experience with the AERMOD and Calpuff dispersion models.
- Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with Python programming and panda's library for predictive modelling.
- Knowledge of federal, provincial, and local regulations related to air quality and emissions compliance regulations
- Experience preparing competitive proposals, supporting business development, and identifying new opportunities within the air quality market, applying strong resourcefulness to meet client needs and tailor solutions.
- Proven ability to prepare high-quality technical reports, synthesize complex data, and clearly communicate adaptation strategies and recommendations to clients and non-technical audiences.
