As AtkinsRéalis positions itself for growth in the Vancouver marketplace, we are looking for a Mechanical Project Manager focusing on Buildings. As aMechanical Project Manager, you will work with AtkinsRéalis Vancouver Mechanical Engineering Design Group to lead detailed engineering for building services projects for healthcare, institutional, and industrial, clients.
Your role
- Lead project teams, work with, effectively delegate to and coach Junior team members to deliver effective results.
- Develop and manage mechanical engineering projects or design deliverables for assigned projects, including investigations, report writing, design and construction administration.
- Supporting and leading business development activities for the mechanical engineering group, client facing individual.
- Developing, monitoring and maintaining project schedule and budget for mechanical engineering design deliverables. Ensure the quality and consistency, accuracy, and neatness of mechanical engineering and deliverables as part of corporate QA/QC program.
- Perform site investigations safely including travelling to site (including driving), walking around construction sites, carrying a ladder or other items (approximately 35lbs) around site and climbing ladder to access ceiling space, lowering self to observe mechanical services low to ground, and committing to safety regulations and requirements.
- Participate in local and corporate sustainability initiatives to positively advance both corporate and industry developments.
- Use software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP, and Microsoft Office to prepare deliverables as required.

About you
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with EGBC. PMP or CAPM certificate through the Project Management Institute is an asset.
- 8-12 years of relevant building systems design experience. Must have experience in HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection design for buildings, including utilization of applicable codes, standards, and design tools.
- Established reputation in the local Buildings Mechanical Engineering industry.
- Has a desire to grow their career by progressively taking on more leadership responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and communication skills to develop a solution and be able to communicate it effectively with teammates, other disciplines, subcontractors, project managers and clients.

Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $90,000 - $130,000 annually (Only Applicable to British Columbia). Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
