Our Team
Our Growth Office is responsible for ensuring enhanced cross-selling, great government relations, impactful strategic partnerships and a world class win work function. We also support the key enablers of the strategic growth plan such as private finance and investigate and incubate new fields of play to help generate new revenue.
We want to hear from you
We are seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to join our Growth Office. The role will be part of our Win Work Excellence Group and responsible for leading the development of high scoring, compelling and compliant written proposals for our strategic pursuits. The ideal candidate will bring a track record of managing the delivery of exemplar winning proposals in collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders.
Your Role
- Develop plans for delivery of written proposal deliverables including responses to technical questions, CVs, and case studies.
- Align the value proposition developed in during the capture phase with the client's tender requirements and develop a series of compelling themes to be integrated into our written proposals.
- Review tender requirements and develop clear guidance to enable Proposal Writers to write content that resonates with the client.
- Oversee production of written content through the stages of development and review as prescribed in our win work process.
- Facilitate storyboarding sessions with stakeholders to brainstorm and prioritise compliant and compelling content. Oversee development of Content Plans for review prior to investment in development of full drafts.
- Build relationships across our technical practices to secure input and key content for our written proposals. Reinforce the importance of collateral such as capability statements, project case studies, quantifiable value delivered, and client testimonials.
- Mobilise, brief, and manage the input Proposal Writers to develop compelling and compliant content.
- Work with our Creative Design team to develop a compelling brand for our written proposals that will resonate with the client. Manage the input of creative resources to produce visual content for inclusion in our proposals.
- Undertake final review of our written proposal to ensure it is compliant with the tender requirements and style guide, is consistent across deliverables, and is free from errors. Manage the production of the final written proposal for submission.
- Review client feedback and scores on our written proposal and make recommendations for improvement of future proposals.
- Ensure any high scoring written content is captured in our Proposal Information Hub for use in future written proposals.

About you
The ideal candidate will bring a track record of success in proposal management and execution for major pursuits, team building and collaborating with stakeholders in large corporate environments. Skills and experience should include:
- A degree or equivalent qualification (relevant technical certifications in business development activity would be desirable).
- Proven Proposal Management experience the engineering, construction, or professional services sectors. A strong track record of managing and delivering complex, high-value proposals.
- An understanding of engineering projects and terminology, with the ability to translate complex technical information into easily understandable proposal content.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously under pressure and with tight deadlines.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. The ability to craft a clear, compelling, and persuasive narrative.
- Meticulous attention to detail is essential to ensure compliance and high-quality deliverables.
- A collaborative and motivating leadership style with the ability to build strong working relationships across diverse teams.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and experience with generative AI tools is a plus.
