Overview
AtkinsRéalis is hiring a Traffic Control Supervisor to join our Surrey Langley Skytrain project team, who will be reporting to the Traffic Manager, with responsibilities on implementing and maintaining traffic control plans, monitoring of traffic operation in construction zones, and supervising and managing all Traffic Control Persons on the Traffic Site.
Your role
The selected person will support the Traffic Management Team in carrying out key responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Implementing and maintaining traffic control plans
- Observing and Monitoring of traffic operation in construction zones
- Supervising and managing all Traffic Control Persons on the Traffic Site
- Available on site when active construction is underway and can be available on site within 60 minutes when active construction is not underway
- Recording and providing Daily Traffic Control Reports to the Province's Representative by 10:00 am for the previous day and completing and providing Incident Reports to the Province's Representative within 24 hour of each incident
- Responding to inquiries and liaising with the Province's Representative as required
- Dispatching traffic control staff and procuring of traffic equipment for daily work activities

About you
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Traffic Supervisor in general traffic control procedures, standards and processes in Metro Vancouver as well as specific experience in traffic management plan implementation on large or similar projects
- Sound knowledge of MS Office suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Have a valid Driving License in BC
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work variable shift work that may include night shifts or weekends
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking, time-management and staff management
- Knowledge of traffic best practices and traffic regulations that is documented in BC MoTT's Traffic Management Manual for Work on Roadways, and knowledge of latest WorkSafeBC standards and requirements related to traffic management

Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $79,000 - $107,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
