Transmission and Distribution Division includes teams working on different industries –Power T&D team. The Power T&D team is presently working on projects in the UK , USA, Canada , Australia and ME.
The Power T&D team is looking for experienced engineers in HV Plant /Substations discipline, as we look to grow the team in line with business requirements. Using your experience and knowledge, you will be a part of the delivery of a variety of projects drawing upon the wider team for the technical engineering requirements and building a strong relationship with our clients. You will be client-facing, working with the team and making sure it meets our client's'expectations.

About you
- Graduate/Post-Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering with around 6 - 8+ years of experience in Design of Protection & Control Systems.
- Hands-on Experience in design of protection systems applied to Busbars, Feeders, Transformers, Reactors etc. on the 132kV and above systems.
- Appreciation for the principles of Current & Voltage Transformers, Auto Reclose, Circuit Breaker Fail & Plant Auto Switching arrangements.
- Ability to complete design deliverables – Single Line Diagram (SLD) & Protection SLD (or) Key Line Diagram (KLD); Circuit Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, General Arrangement Diagrams, Cable Schedules, Cable Block Diagrams and Termination Schedules etc.
- Ability to produce design documentation – Design Basis Report, Case Studies and Project Design Specification.
- Member of IET & working towards Chartered Engineer accreditation.
Behavioural requirements:
- Strong English Communication Skills needed to co-ordinate with client and other internal stake holders.
- Be a part of the team which is working at different geographical locations and co-ordinate for the needs of the project.

- ETAP/PSCAD – Desirable

Engineer- Substation
Using your experience and knowledge, you will be a part of the delivery of a variety of projects drawing upon the wider team for the technical engineering requirements and building a strong relationship with our clients. You will be client-facing, working with the team and making sure it meets our client's'expectations.
You will be taking up the following responsibilities:
- Technical Specification preparation.
- Design basis, feasibility report , technical reports etc.
- SLDs, Layouts, sections, calculations such as bus bar sizing, short circuit force, AC/Dc schematics, Erection diagrams, clearance diagrams, General arrangement of substation.
- You should have experience of substation for 400kV and above with latest international standards such as IEEE, IEC, etc.
- Complete design calculations – LVAC & DC System Sizing, CT & VT adequacy checks, Cable Sizing etc.
- Contribute to Tendering activities by supporting with preliminary design documentation & drawings, Bill of Quantities, Engineering Man Hour Estimates etc.
- Providing support for bids, cost estimation, preparation of tender documents etc.
- Mentoring other engineers and help them become better engineers.
Engineer - Power System Study
- In depth knowledge of conducting simulations and analytical studies for Transmission and Distribution, Planning, Load and generation interconnection, Integration of renewables.
- Able to prepare simulation study models and carry out power system studies including but not limited to.
- Steady state and Dynamic power flow analysis.
- Short circuit calculation.
- Transient & Dynamic Stability Studies.
- Power Quality analysis.
- Arc Flash Studies.
- Grid compliance studies for Wind, Solar, BESS and Hybrid projects.
- Candidate should be able to carry out following protection calculations.
- Overcurrent and earth fault protection co-ordination for the transmission and distribution network.
- Unit protection calculation for Transformer, motor, busbar, generator etc.,
- Carry out consulting, research and development study projects.
- Analyse study results and recommend solutions as per requirements and able to discuss / clarify Clients with help of results.
- Prepare study reports and other technical documentation.
- Respond to request for proposals (RFP) by preparing proposals & estimation of man-hours.
- Strong conceptualization ability, strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills are a must, including the capability to explain complex technical issues to decision-makers and project teams. Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills, be willing to travel, and work successfully in a customer focused, project-oriented environment.
Engineer - P&C Substation
Using your experience and knowledge, you will be leading the delivery of a variety of projects drawing upon the wider team for the technical engineering requirements and building a strong relationship with our clients. You will be client-facing, responsible for the delivery of our work and making sure it meets our client's'expectations.
You will be taking up the following responsibilities:
- Produce design drawings & documentation for Front End Engineering Design (FEED) such as Protection Single Line Diagram (or) Key Line Diagram (KLD), Work Specification, Assessment of requirement for Auxiliary Systems etc.
- Complete Detailed Design Deliverables – Circuit Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, Cable Schedules, Cable Block Diagrams, General Arrangement Diagrams, Termination Schedules etc.
- Interface substation auxiliary systems and other equipment with Protection & Control Systems.
- Complete design calculations – LVAC & DC System Sizing, CT & VT adequacy checks, Cable Sizing etc.
- Contribute to Tendering activities by supporting with preliminary design documentation & drawings, Bill of Quantities, Engineering Man Hour Estimates etc.
- You could also be working on Fault Current Calculations, Relay Settings and IED Configuration based on the skill set and project requirements.
