Your Role
As a Mechanical and Industrial Piping Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying specific project needs, defining the scope of work, and outlining the steps and timelines for completion;
- Performing design and calculations related to project requirements;
- Conducting piping design studies (plans, isometrics, flexibility calculations, sizing);
- Having knowledge of software such as Pipeflow, Plant 3D, Caesar;
- Defining materials, supports, accessories, and equipment based on process, pressure, and temperature constraints;
- Performing stress analyses on piping systems;
- Ensuring compliance with applicable standards and codes (ASME, EN, API, etc.);
- Having a solid understanding of piping design codes (ASME B31.3, etc.);
- Knowledge of pressure vessels is considered an asset;
- Providing technical support to other project managers when required;
- Potentially acting as a project manager;
- Writing specifications and technical reports;
- Estimating project costs;
- Coordinating with various stakeholders;
- Providing technical assistance during construction work;
- Supporting the development of the team and its members;
- Adhering to health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures, and contributing to the prevention of workplace incidents. Additionally, in a spirit of continuous improvement, proactively enhancing health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures to prevent potential hazards related to your work.

About You
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the mechanical field, particularly in industrial piping design;
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
- Solid knowledge of the industrial sector;
- Proficiency in French (spoken and written); bilingualism is an asset.
