Your Role
As a Mechanical and Industrial Piping Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Identifying specific project needs, defining the scope of work, and outlining the steps and timelines for completion;
Performing design and calculations related to project requirements;
Conducting piping design studies (plans, isometrics, flexibility calculations, sizing);
Having knowledge of software such as Pipeflow, Plant 3D, Caesar;
Defining materials, supports, accessories, and equipment based on process, pressure, and temperature constraints;
Performing stress analyses on piping systems;
Ensuring compliance with applicable standards and codes (ASME, EN, API, etc.);
Having a solid understanding of piping design codes (ASME B31.3, etc.);
Knowledge of pressure vessels is considered an asset;
Providing technical support to other project managers when required;
Potentially acting as a project manager;
Writing specifications and technical reports;
Estimating project costs;
Coordinating with various stakeholders;
Providing technical assistance during construction work;
Supporting the development of the team and its members;
Adhering to health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures, and contributing to the prevention of workplace incidents. Additionally, in a spirit of continuous improvement, proactively enhancing health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures to prevent potential hazards related to your work.

About You
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering;
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the mechanical field, particularly in industrial piping design;
Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
Solid knowledge of the industrial sector;
Proficiency in French (spoken and written); bilingualism is an asset.
Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range 117,200 to 161,200 annually. (Only Applicable to Ontario). Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers .
