Our expertise includes: Nuclear Steam Plant (NSP) engineering, Balance of Plant (BOP) engineering, Plant Life Management and Extension, Retube Tooling Systems, Inspection and Maintenance Services, Steam Generator Replacement, Plant Equipment Refurbishment and Retrofits.
Our Nuclear Canada business is experiencing significant growth driven in part by planned New Build projects underway internationally and domestically.
The Digital Director reports functionally to the Vice-President, Digital Solutions and operationally to the Project Director. The leadership role is responsible for developing and implementing the digital strategy and information management framework for a nuclear new build project. This Director ensures that all project data, documentation, and digital systems are integrated, secure, and aligned with company standards, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and project objectives. The position drives digital transformation to enable efficient collaboration, lifecycle data management, and regulatory compliance across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
Key responsibilities include leading project teams, developing work execution plans, recruiting and assigning team members, managing project deliverables, organizational structure, budget, schedule, risk management, and overseeing people forecasting and levelling for the project.
Your role
- Strategic Leadership:
- Define and execute the Digital and Information Management Strategy for a nuclear new build project.
- Align digital initiatives with project objectives, company's standards, regulatory compliance, and long-term asset lifecycle needs.
- Champion digital innovation, including BIM, data analytics, and advanced collaboration platforms.
- Promote and ensure adoption among all stakeholders on the project.
- Information Management:
- Establish and maintain the Information Management Framework, including data governance, metadata standards, and document control processes.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements, cybersecurity standards, and international best practices (e.g., ISO 19650, IEC 62645).
- Oversee the implementation of Common Data Environment (CDE) for all stakeholders.
- Technology & Systems:
- Select, implement, and manage all digital platforms required by the project with a main focus on engineering design, project controls, and asset information systems (e.g., P6, EcoSys, EDMS, BIM tools).Stand up and lead integrated advanced work packaging system with Engineering, Procurement, Construction management (EPCm) partners.
- Integrate systems across EPCm contractors, OEMs, and internal teams to enable seamless data exchange.
- Drive adoption of digital twin technology for design, construction, and operational readiness.
- Explore advanced technologies such as AR/VR for design reviews, AI-driven analytics, and predictive maintenance tools.
- Integrated Building Information Model (BIM) Ownership:
- Define, implement, and maintain the project-wide BIM strategy to support design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Ensure BIM integration across all disciplines and contractors, enabling a single source of truth for asset data.
- Drive the development of a digital twin for operational readiness and lifecycle asset management.
- Oversee integration of BIM with other project systems (e.g., scheduling, cost management, EDMS, and ERP).
- Ensure interoperability between EPCm partners, OEMs, and internal systems using open standards (e.g., IFC).
- Develop and enforce BIM execution plans and data standards in line with ISO 19650 and nuclear regulatory requirements.
- Safety, Cybersecurity & Data Protection:
- Accountable for all aspects of nuclear and industrial safety including adherence with corporate and customer safety programs, development and enforcement of necessary training and requirements, adherence to corrective action programs and enforcement of performance standards for all the above.
- Ensure adherence to nuclear and industrial digital safety standards, including corporate and customer digital safety programs. Develop and enforce necessary training and corrective action programs.
- Implement robust cybersecurity measures for all digital systems and data flows.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear industry cybersecurity regulations and corporate IT policies.
- Performance & Reporting:
- Monitor and report on digital strategy implementation, system performance, and data integrity.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost optimization through digital solutions.
- Track and ensure adoption of all digital processes and systems on the project.

About you
- Minimum 10 years of experience in digital transformation, information management, or IT leadership roles within large infrastructure or energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of BIM, CDE, EDMS, and project controls systems. Familiarity with ISO 19650, IEC cybersecurity standards, and nuclear regulatory frameworks. Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Experience with 3D integrated engineering design tools in the plant design industry (e.g., Hexagon, Aveva) preferred. Engineering & Construction Advanced Work Packaging knowledge preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills.
- Nuclear Experience: Experience in Nuclear Reactor new design and construction projects preferred.
- Team Building: Ability to build and inspire a team to work towards common goals.
- People Management: Experience managing direct reports within a project delivery functional support model.
- Leadership: Lead by example, setting high standards for Health & Safety and Nuclear Safety Culture.
- Quality Assurance: Appreciation of the importance of Quality Assurance Programs and their significance to the nuclear industry.
- Safety Knowledge: Working knowledge of industrial safety and nuclear safety culture.
- Communication Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and customer relationship skills. Demonstrated oral and written communication abilities.

Work Location(s):
