Empowering projects in a complex world.

Are you ready to take up a vital role in shaping some of our exciting projects? How about joining our talented team, where everyone has a voice, and together we face our clients' problems head-on. It's a diverse and inclusive work environment where world-class talent knows no distinctions.

We know that different people have different priorities, which is why we're here to support you. Flexible and remote working is a central part of our culture. So, talk to us about what's ideal for you–from reduced weeks to buying more leave over school holidays. And if you're returning from a career break, ask us how we can help you transition back into work with us.

As a Consultant Project Manager in 'Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology' (ADS&T), you'll be part of our Programme Delivery Practice. In your role, you'll enable organisations to achieve maximum benefits from digital transformation and innovative operations. You'll work directly with clients, identifying, shaping, and managing better delivery capabilities. You'll be supported to lead your own work packages or Agile delivery teams across our markets.

Your purpose:

You will act as Project Manager for a number of projects within the Account, and therefore:

  • Support the Senior Project Manager/Project Director with activities including but not limited to:
    • Financial budgeting, planning, and reporting.
    • Generation of management information.
  • Demonstrate good communication and engagement skills, specifically with client and project stakeholders, to manage escalated issues and develop strong relationships in support of ongoing delivery and business development.
  • Be able to anticipate and co-ordinate responses to client business needs.
  • Support and mentor graduates to aid their personal and professional development and increase the project management maturity and capability within the team.
  • Support the delivery of work in line with high regulated quality management environments in support of but not limited to internal and external audit processes.

What you can bring:

  • Demonstration of clear construction or built environment experience, including experience of working to RIBA, from the perspective of a contractor, consultant, or client.
  • Strong collaborative behaviours to interface with client, contractors, other supply chain partners and the wider stakeholder communities.
  • Good demonstrable commercial acumen (understands contracts, especially NEC 3 or NEC 4, and able to manage internal and external change effectively). Additionally, is able to support robust negotiations, balancing relationship and business need aspects.
  • Knowledge and experience of implementing and operating and potentially changing Project Governance, Controls and Reporting processes related to Planning, Risks/Issues, Finance and Change Management.
  • Good Project Management skills, and knowledge APM project management processes.
  • Good knowledge of financial processes including project cost control and ability to interpret and report financial data and analysis.
  • Ability to travel to Silchester/Reading/London/Manchester and/or Bristol/Plymouth areas fairly regularly would be beneficial due to the need to converse with clients face to face.
