Energy Manager

The Energy Manager reports to the Senior Vice President, Infrastructure. In this role you will be working closely with Infrastructure projects providing technical support and Energy reporting, support bid teams in preparing winning bid for new work, maintain ISO 9001 certification, manage sector level governance procedure guidelines and provide life cycle and asset management support.

Location – Toronto, ON

Your role within the team:

  • Develop project specific energy management plans and establish the base load for painshare/ gainshare calculations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual energy reports for projects.
  • Calculate annual painshare / gainshare amounts as defined in each project agreement.
  • Prepare and present annual emissions reports.
  • Coach project teams on energy optimization strategies.
  • Develop and maintain sector level governance documentation to comply with corporate requirements
  • Maintain quality plans and ISO certification for designated projects.
  • Maintain technical services SharePoint for energy, governance and quality.
  • Support maintenance management systems for designated projects.
  • Develop and maintain sector asset management plan.
  • Assist in preparing technical and cost elements for bids.
  • Assist in reviewing potential design options for maintainability
  • Assist in Life Cycle periodic reviews for projects.
  • Assist in project mobilization activities.

The ideal candidate:

  • 10 years’ experience energy management in commercial buildings (CEM, CEA, or equivalent)
  • Asset management experience including life cycle analysis (RPA, IAM certified, or equivalent)
  • Quality management and ISO 9001 certification (ISO 9001 auditor)
  • Experience in P3 projects is an asset.
  • Ability to access mechanical spaces and construction sites as required
