Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer for our Dundalk office. The successful candidate will work as part of a diverse multidisciplinary team. The role provides the opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across the Aviation, Education, Residential, Healthcare, Industrial, Commercial, and Energy sectors, working with both public and private clients.
Your role
- Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects.
- Design input and oversight of the delivery of all Civil aspects of projects with a focus on drainage and watermain design.
- Good knowledge of basic road design principles.
- Preparation and review of project reports (Planning, Tender, Construction Stage).
- Communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Preparation and review of design calculations.
- Undertaking duties of Ancillary Certifier for the Civil engineering discipline on building projects.
- Lead a small team of civil engineers and technicians.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team.

About you
- Chartered Engineer with EI or equivalent.
- Experience in leading local civil engineering projects.
- Ability to work independently and oversee a small team.
- Software design experience such as Causeway or Micro-drainage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to prioritise and manage personal and team workload effectively.
