About you

Qualifications/ skills

• Preference of minimum HNC / HND (or equivalent) in a civil engineering, project management or other construction-based discipline.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Broad knowledge of Design, Manual of Roads and Bridges (DMRB), The Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW) and other highways standards would be useful.
• Understanding of the DBFO contract is desirable, although not essential, with an expectation that this knowledge will be developed once in post.

Experience

• Experience of managing design, construction or other programmes.
• Appreciation of commercial or performance management.
• Experience of working with construction and civil engineering contract forms such as NEC, TPC, PFI etc.
• Some risk management experience preferred.
• Experience of coordinating interfaces with internal/external technical and commercial teams and external resources.
