We are seeking a Document Controller to join our to join our M&M department. The person in this position will work closely with all disciplines (engineering, HSE, procurement, quality, etc) and project management.

This role will be based in Toronto, Ontario.

Your role within the team:

  • Follows and complies with Company, Project, and Document Controls Function procedures and techniques, while supporting the maintenance of document control processes, including sensitive information and permissions management.
  • Assists in providing training and guidance to internal and external customers, and supports management in the appraisal and development of competent Document Controls staff.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary Document Control staff to help ensure effective document management across projects with consistent performance and value added.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate and timely status reporting metrics for all relevant document control functions and project deliverables.
  • Supports document management activities to ensure proper utilization of systems and adherence to established procedures.
  • Contributes to identifying and implementing efficiency improvements and cost-reduction initiatives within the Document Controls function.
  • Supports the implementation and continuous maintenance of tools, systems, and processes to drive ongoing improvement in document control practices.

The ideal candidate:

  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in Document Controls within the EPC industry, including a minimum of 5 years at a mid to senior level.
  • Demonstrated success supporting multidisciplinary functions such as Contract Management, Commercial, Planning & Scheduling, and Engineering.
  • Proven expertise in the development, implementation, and optimization of Document Controls systems, tools, processes, and procedures in engineering and construction environments.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of EDMS platforms such as Aconex and a working understanding of database administration principles.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage large volumes of data efficiently while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
