ADS&T Security Administrator.

Purpose:

To support the ADS&T QSSE team and help manage Bristol and satellite office security requirements. You will work for the QSSE Director and provide support to the Security Manager and Bristol FSC ensuring we operate safely and securely at all times.  You will help promote compliance to requirements, provide advice, and assist with incidents and continuous improvement.

Location- ADS&T Bristol Office.

Basis- Full Time.

Reports to- ADS&T QSSE Director.

Deputises- ADS&T Security Manager & Bristol FSC.

Responsibilities:

This is a broad role where you’ll play a key role ensuring the division has got the right things in place and is making improvements. You’ll support activities across QSSE though with a focus on security. You needn’t be experienced in all aspects – you’ll benefit from guidance and support from team members. We need someone to act as deputy FSC for Bristol (which requires regular presence in Bristol) as well as support the satellite offices with security compliance. This might be a good development role and training and coaching would be provided to increase your knowledge and skills as necessary.

Support to Security Manager-

  • Champion Security by providing awareness, guidance and advice across the business as required.
  • Assist with reviewing, tracking and auditing project Security Aspects Letters.
  • Provide support for creating campaigns, quizzes and newsletters etc. to raise security awareness.
  • Assist with tracking bi-monthly security walk-around checks and audits of office locations as well as any associated actions.
  • Run regular security incident reports to ensure resolution to incidents and monitor trends.

Support to QSSE Director-

  • Champion Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) – provide awareness and guidance for the division eg through drafting Moments and engaging Safety Champions.
  • Monitor HSE incidents and track progress on MyQSSE - helping ensure resolution.
  • Provide general ad-hoc support as we strengthen the function and make improvements. This might involve support to improvement projects across Quality, HSE and Security.
  • Support investigations into QSSE incidents.
  • Assist with maintenance of QSSE SharePoint sites, access permissions and distribution lists.
  • Knowledge Hub management – helping to keep the Knowledge Hub (an internal site for key information and documents) up to date etc.
  • Support reporting by monitoring trends and providing monthly and quarterly summaries.

Deputy Bristol FSC-

  • Support the Bristol FSC with the day-to-day security aspects in relation to the facility.
  • Work with the FSC to ensure compliance with policies including security aspect letters, personnel security, physical security, document management & incident reporting.
  • Assist with the upkeep of the FSC operational documents and work instructions.
  • Conduct bi-monthly security walkarounds.
  • Help with maintenance of various registers, access controls and safe storage requirements.

Satellite Office Security Point of Contact (SPoC)-

  • Security Briefings – Brief staff in security matters where required.
  • Security Support - Undertake confirmation of security vetting checks, provide updates on key issues, incidents, and improvements in security.
  • Secure Network Support - Provide support for user accounts, laptops, email quarantine, and project related requests needing access to secure networks systems that require SPoC online approval (where required).
  • Security Incident Reporting - Report security incidents and near misses via MyQSSE, undertake investigations when requested & provide feedback.
  • Attend bi-monthly ADS&T SPoC meetings and quarterly Security Controller Forum meetings (over MS Teams or in person).

Competencies:

  • Excellent team player, able to use own initiative and work unsupervised.
  • Organised with strong time-management skills.
  • Experienced user of MS Office suite.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and conscientious individual who has relevant information security experience would be preferred.
  • Completion of the DISA Facilities Security Controller Course would be an advantage.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a security vetting process and offers of employment will be subject to relevant security clearance being granted.  Work outside normal office hours & travel may be required to our other ADS&T offices.
