There are still misconceptions around who engineering is for. Many young girls feel it's not a space where they belong. We challenge that by showing just how broad the industry is. From civil and structural to biomedical, telecoms and renewables, there's something for everyone, and the opportunity to travel and make a real impact.

I believe that getting to work, or simply meeting friends in a park, should never be difficult, dangerous, or polluting. My work directly addresses these challenges, leading to concrete, positive changes for citizens and their communities.

Our Engineering Net Zero and Sustainability training program allowed me to meet global colleagues face to face. We collaborated closely, identified carbon hotspots and came up with practical solutions. That combination of teamwork and real-world application was a real learning curve for me.

Everyone’s experiences are different, and every contribution matters. The best way forward is not to compare but to learn together.

My job here is pretty different from what I was doing in the UK. Being here has given me chances I probably wouldn't have gotten so quickly back home. Now, I'm part of the digital innovations team, which I was always interested in back in the UK but hadn't landed a job in yet.

I’ve gained hands-on experience in project delivery, project management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-office collaboration. It’s been a truly enriching experience that has shaped my approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
