About the Opportunity
We are pleased to be working with our clients to safely deliver operational support of Telecommunications Systems across multiple oil & gas facilities. An exciting opportunity is available for a contract Systems Engineer to work on various Perth based Telecoms Maintenance contracts. Ad hoc site visits may apply.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assessment of systems against various project compliance standards/controls and Remediate them.
- Application of technical experience to problems and processes involving components of IT infrastructure related to hardware and operating systems.
- Implementation of systems upgrades, changes and associated systems interfaces, through the application of acquired knowledge to differing environments and business conditions.
- Assist in virtualisation of multiple standalone operational systems
- Preparation of system testing documentation
- Remediation of firewall rules and network configuration across multiple sites
Skills and Experience Required:
- 5 years’ experience managing diverse enterprise IT infrastructure
- System Compliance activities and management of change
- LAN/WAN/Firewall configuration and operation
- HP / Dell Server Hardware
- Windows 2008/2012 Server Administration
- Virtual infrastructure implementation and support
- Backup and Restore software / routines
Advantageous
- Knowledge of HP Storage, Net App, Data Domain etc.
- Experience Supporting Systems in an oil and gas environment.
- Experience in support of operational telecommunications systems (eg radio, CCTV, Access control)
- ITIL Background
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols and Firewall operation and configuration
