We are seeking an experienced Architecture Studio Manager to support our Buildings Design team in Riyadh, KSA. This leadership role requires an organised and driven professional who can effectively manage and nurture a team, oversee project delivery, assist with management activities of the studio relating to resourcing, finances, contracts, procedures, governance etc, and maintain high standards of design quality and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong architectural background, combined with proven experience in similar roles and delivering projects within a multidisciplinary environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Lead, nurture and develop a team of architects ensuring a collaborative, supportive, and high-performing work environment.

  • Project Delivery Oversight: Coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they meet quality, budgetary, and timeline expectations.

  • Studio Operations: Support the day-to-day management of studio operations, including resource allocation, financial oversight, contract administration, and governance processes.

  • Design Excellence: Uphold and enhance the studio's reputation for delivering high-quality, innovative, and contextually relevant architectural solutions.

  • Client Interaction: Serve as a primary contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met while managing expectations and resolving challenges.

  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure studio processes align with company policies and industry standards, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

  • Resource Management: Monitor and manage studio resources, including staff assignments and workload balancing, to ensure efficient project delivery.

  • Mentorship: Provide ongoing mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members, fostering their growth and engagement.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers and project managers, to ensure integrated project delivery.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve studio procedures, tools, and workflows, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

  • Experience: Minimum of 15+ years of experience in architecture, including at least 4 years in a studio management or leadership role.

  • Professional Accreditation: Chartered Architect status (RIBA, AIA, or equivalent) is preferred.

  • Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of Project Management Templates, as well as design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite, with experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM).

  • Operational Expertise: Demonstrated experience in managing studio operations, including resourcing, financial oversight, and contract management.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.

  • Leadership and Organization: Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and implement efficient studio processes.

  • Client-Focused: Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
